Black Mountain-june 14

After a good breakfast at the Griffins we headed south into the Owyhees towards Black Mountain.  Last weeks' ride was so hot and today's ride was cold and started with rain. We arrived at the trailhead while it was still raining so some of us spent the waiting time in the Meredith's camper with a game of Hand and Foot. The others met in Dave's trailer and talked about guns and stuff. Sharon said the rain would stop at 11:00 and it did!  So we went for a ride.

Getting ready.  Look at the sky.

LUNCH!!  We found a perfect rock for our table.

If we aren't riding, this is how you
see Charles on his machine.

This tire is definitely flat! Luckily there were some riders
with pumps.

Just a little rocky.

Shafer Butte to Hawley Mountain Lookout

June 10 was a beautiful day for a ride in the Idaho mountains.  The weather was perfect and the wildflowers were blooming and we had a great ride!  (if you didn't mind a couple of pounds of dust!)

If you have really good eyes, you will recognize, Charles, Dave & Sharon,
Dudley & Georgia, Ron & Karen
Dudley & Georgia

It's a dead end. Time to turn around!

Dave & Sharon on the yellow ATV
Charles came roaring up to the very edge of the cliff,
parked right on the brink and leaned back to relax.

Which way???

Next ride:Tuesday June 14 to Black Mountain.  This is in addition to the original schedule. Meet at the Griffins at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast!  Bring your own lunch.

Will we see the Blasers and the Halls this season??
